my laptop is an acer aspire 5738z and it has been syncing my ipod for just like 20 minutes and is up to 95C 198F . Both cores. nothing is upgraded.

After a relatively short period of time usage, the bottom of my laptop gets really hot?
It's a refurbished Dell computer about 5 years old

Its really hot, but my brother who uses the exact same model and brand as me doesn't get as hot as mine o.o? my ac adapter died out recently and i ordered a new one but been using brother's ac adapter for now what could be the problem?

I have an HP Pavilion dv5 2035dx and i dropped it once and now i've noticed it gets really hot when all I'm doing is surfing the internet, I'm not gaming or anything. It never used to get hot at all. I keep it on a flat surface and everything but it still gets really hot... I can hear the fan running really loudly too.. do you think I broke something when i dropped it? Also, every now and then white lines flashe at the bottom of my screen...??It landed on it's side and flipped over upside down and the battery fell out.and there is no cosmetic damage... it landed on carpet

I have a HP Pavilion Dv6 laptop and just recently it is getting really hot. Now the vents are not covered because it is 3 vents on the side on the corner and on the bottom and only the bottom one gets covered and I can feel the hot air blowing out of the vent. but it does not cool down. It gets so hot i have to shut it off. what should i do?

Why does my laptop get really hot?
I own a gateway. I recently resorted it to factory settings cause it was bogged down with memory and wouldn't budge for anything. It is working much better but the one problem that was actually in reviews on my laptop, it gets WAY too hot. I have to keep a small desk fan next to it but that doesn't help. I don't really understand why it does this. Thanks for answering.
