Laptop IDE hard drive?
Hey, I'm on holiday in hong kong at the moment and while im out here I thought I'd grab a cheap hard drive. But I'm wondering can a laptop use over a 320GB on IDE. I cant find any hard drives that are over 320GB. I want 500GB at the least but 1TB would be best. I know you can get them on SATA but I dont know on normal IDE PATA . Need a really quick answer Thanks It's just my laptop hard drive runs off IDE I think I couldn't find an accurate way of checking software wise. And ah 750GB isn't bad...

How can I install Windows XP and an external laptop IDE hard drive?
I have a laptop with no USB boot, CD rom drive is BROKEN, and no network.I have an external enclosure, how can I hook it up to a computer and install windows xp and put it back in the laptop to finish the setup?I got external enclosure for IDE laptop hard drivewindows xp install cd3 computers to hook up the enclosure to try this
