hello im looking at getting laptop insurance for my laptop as ive looked at hp care pack and found it expensive it is 9 months old and just wondering if i can still get it insured its in mint new condition still and fully working its just that i want piece of mind im after people review on insurance for laptops and which one the best to go for thank you

I just bought a new and rather expensive laptop and would like to take out some insurance on it. I know there are a lot of companies out there many of them with a dodgy reputation. There is a laptop at bestbuy i've been eyeing for awhile, but it's expensive. More money than i wanted to pay, so if i pay what i consider a small fortune, i want to make sure i don't get it home and turn it on and it stops working after awhile for whatever reason. I've heard how crappy HP support is, so my question is if i buy the additional protection plan for my laptop at best buy, am i totally covered? And how does it work? Do i take it in to a best buy store or what?The model i'm looking at is dv2745se. To the user that works with HP, thanks for any additional advice
Does laptop insurance actually help?
I want to buy a new laptop and i have the option to buy insurance with it. It says its protected from theft so if it gets stolen they will send me a new one? How can it be that easy though? Why couldnt somebody just get insurance and tell them its stolen but it is actaully not and just get sent a free laptop?
