Why does my laptop internet slow down every 5 days ? after system restore ?
i use google chrome and also windows live messenger and on facebook the messages take time to send and on google chrome it takes forever to basically load a pagesame with mozilla firefox it just takes ages, same with internet exploreri do system restore to get rid of it but every 4 to 5 days it happens again ?i have never experienced this before and im actually quite good with computers but i dont see the problem is it a virus ? i downloaded microsoft security essentials and Kasperskey 2012 and scanned but it detected 3 at first and its removed but the problem carries on what is the problem with my laptop ?

Why is my laptop internet slow?
I got a new Dell Inspiron just this week and my wireless is slow. I have a 20 megabit connection and I only average 1 megabit a second while older Acer laptop varies between 12 20 megabits. Any suggestions about what I should do?Its a brand new computer and the only I thing installed is Avast Security and Google Chrome. Both latops are on wifi but the Acer is faster. I use them close to the router.

On my DELL PC my internet is about 2.88 Mbps but on my new HP laptop it's only around 1.03. I have a PS3 too and that runs well too. They are all connected wirelessy too.My router is a Linksys WRT54G btw. how do I check if it's G or N?
