My laptop keeps shutting down randomly.?
I have an acer laptop that's only about 4 months old nothings wrong with it and my Norton says everything is fine but it randomly just shuts down for no reason I don't think its over heating because it happens A LOT and whenever I use my webcam it happens more. Help?

My laptop keeps shutting down whenever i close the lid?
I own a Compaq Presario CQ40 which I have recently upgraded to a 64bit windows 7, i have also added 2 gb Ram. When i go to the power settings and to the settings of what the laptop is supposed to do when i close the lid, it is set to go to sleep mode. however, whenever i open the lid again, it acts as if i have forced it to shut down with the power button.note 1 the laptop only works for 70 % but always has enough power to work for a good half hour after i switch it back on.2 The adaptor on the power cable was fixed recently.

My gateway laptop keeps shutting down.What do I do?
I was playing a game called Vindictus on x mas then I stop playing with my laptop because I had other games.When I finished one game I went back to my laptop but all of the sudden it shut down.Now it shuts down in a minute.Do I have a virus or is this a gateway problem?It's not overheating and I knew where I downloaded the game because I downloaded another game from the company before and I had no problems.Also I tried to put a McAfee disc in but it doesn't do anything.I also had it for a year or 2

My Acer Aspire 5742 4GB , Core i5 keeps shutting down randomly, when I say shutting down I mean it just shuts off the screen goes black and it turns off. This has being happening since I installed a windows update Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 March 2012 KB890830 . I would like to hear what advice you have. Please help, thanks.

My laptop keeps shutting down on it's own?
Window 7 HP. Last night the battery died so it shut off. I quickly grabbed the charger and plugged it in. I turned it back on and it went fine, so I left it and it shut down because I wasbt using it Then today whenever I try to turn it on, the light goes on and it goes to the starting page then shuts off. Same place every time. I've taken out the battery and put it back in too. I'm usually pretty smart with computers so give me some type of instruction Thanks

My laptop keeps shutting down as soon as I turn it on, I can't get system restore up in time.?
My boyfriend was downloading a photo editing software Gimp from a website. He is 17 and not very eSmart. It shut his laptop down and every time he tries to turn it back on, there is a blue screen for about 10 seconds then back off again.He can't possibly have enough time to get system restore up before the screen goes blue.Can anyone help?? It has his Art coursework on there and he will fail if he can't access the files.Any appropriate answers will be greatly appreciated x

My hp notebook/laptop keeps shutting down randomly. It is NOT overheating. What should I do?
HP DV2815nr. I am running Vista 32bit. I did a complete system restore to factory settings with in the last 2 weeks. I scanned with Microsoft Security Essentials and no virus shows up. What else can I do? I'm decently computer savvy. Any help is appreciated. Thank you Ok. Well, now I just tried to turn it on and the lights come on but, the screen is black. I had this particular notebook repaired for the overheating issue. I suppose it's possible that it is suffering from the same issue again.

My laptop keeps shutting down...?
My question is my laptop is probably 4 or 5 years old. So beside its being old could it be shutting down because the plug is old and needs a new one? The plug sometimes won't stay in right and if I don't be carful it does come out. But for the last 3 days it been shutting down and yes the plug is in so. I'm worry because I for sure don't want to lose all my pictures, and stories that I wrote and saved on my laptop. So what should I do about them and the laptop beside go buy a new one right away?

my laptop model is compaq presario v 2000 and the configuration is too low when compared to current generation laptops and pcs and i can't understand why it gets shut down so often when i am working in it.. i have this problem since couple of months and it happens specially when the programme or task am running requires too much memory to run so i wonder may be the ram isn't functioning correctly....and i was formatting it a week ago as it got bit slower due to unwanted softwares and storage in it and it suddenly got shut down when the format had completed 50 % and now i couldn't install new os as it's not surviving without shut down till the installation ends and even the previous os also got corrupted...pls help me out on this if anybody have idea ....Thanks

Laptop keeps shutting down..?
So, my laptop just keeps randomly shutting down, with no warnings or anything, the screen just goes black and the power light goes off. It's not the battery cause that's full and everything else on the laptop looks fine. I've tried going into Control panel > power options > balanced, then it comes up with 'put the computer to sleep' and next to it it says on battery 5 minutes. plugged in 10 minutes... but you can change them both to NEVER, I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it? please help me.it's only started doing this like an hour ago though.

Why does my laptop keep shutting down although i already i get it fixed?
i have acer aspire 4935G for about two and half year. it started to shut down on itself for about 3 month now. i have done everything i could. i set the fan so that it will always blow at maximum speed, use a cooler pad and i even change my graphic chip.. i don't know what to do.. can someone please help me out..
