Is it okay to just snap off laptop keyboard keys...?
to clean the crap underneath? Or will it damage them? I have a Dell Inspiron 1545. These models get so dirty underneath the keys if you don't take good enough care of them. I have a lot of dust.
Do laptop keyboard keys go pack on when you pop them off?
i have 2 sticky keys from when i spilled some pop on my laptop the other day. thankfully no major damage was done, but i need to clean the keys so they stop sticking. i don't know if when i pop them off if they'll pop right back into place or not though, i don't want to end up with a broken laptop. any help would be great. btw, it's an hp dv6000 notebook pc.
Can I replace my laptop keyboard keys?
I have a IBM Lenovo Laptop. I have a few keyboard keys that are burnt and I was wondering if there was a way that I can replace them? It is my left shift key, my Fn key, and then the one that opens up a menu. Can I buy them somewhere or what can I do. Can I even remove them and replace them? Is it even possible??? Help I just got this laptop not that long ago, and it saddens me that it is already getting wrecked... Thank You in advance Thank you so far for all the answers. A couple of my laptop keyboard keys disappeared...how can I replace these?
the caps lock key, along with the shift and ctrl key all went missing from my laptop while it was with my little brother...I have tried everything to find the...it's not an option any more...i just need the 3 black keys...nothing else is missing...I can still use them it just looks ugly without the cover keys...how can i get these??Toshiba Satellite Laptop Intel Celeron Processor 15.6" Display 3GB Memory 250GB Hard Drive Blackthat is what laptop it is for...help would be greatly appreciated.
How do I remove my laptop keyboard keys for cleaning?
When ever I type I have to either go back and add the letters a,e,i,r,u,y and the space bar or press them hard to get them to show because they are not working. I have some canned air stuff but that has not helped.Can I saftely remove my keys and clean it? How?
Laptop keyboard key insensitive?
Hey people, I just got a new laptop which I ordered of a website, only 1 key on the keyboard, the I, is noticeable less sensitive than they other keys, because I just have to press it harder, and this is quite bothering me.. Is there anything I can do about it, without immediately sending my laptop to manufacturer? cos it will be gone for weeks.. and I don't want that..Thanks in advance,D B

Asus laptop keyboard key issues?
I have an Asus G50v laptop that i've had since end of 2008. Well recently laptop went retarded on itself and BSOD 24 7..mostly memory management stuff...long story short, i ran Memory Management and there are some hardware problems. BUTTT I found this out BEFORE the keyboard started acting dumb. I reformatted my HDD, and i was doing fine when suddenly my G H and a few number pad buttons stopped working. But from time to time...they work perfectly as if nothing was out of the ordinary. What is going on w laptop?? as for the BSOD, that's some other thing since it was acting stupid weeks before keyboard took a dump on itself before i try that.. will it mess anything up?? since u did say " reformat"

My brother came in and used my laptop for something earlier and I came in here to find that the M key came completely off. The it kinda works when it's floatin on top of it, but you have to hit it a couple of times for it to work. How can I fix this?
Laptop Keyboard Keys removable?
I have an Acer Aspire and I was just curious if the keys were removable to better clean the keyboard.
About a third of my laptops keyboard keys stopped working suddenly for no obvious reason. Why?
Its an acer 5736. I have rebooted it, taken the battery out, taken the keyboard out, unplugged the keyboard cable checked it and plugged it back in. Also I ran a virus scan. All the same keys continue to not function. Do I need a new keyboard? Is there any way I can test if that's the problem and not something else? Is there a virus or bug which can cause this? Something else? I can use the onscreen keyboard but its very frustrating. Thanks.
