Laptop keyboard not working properly.?
My keyboard works fine most of the time but every now and then it stops working properly. For example I could be typing fine and then I press 'h' on my keyboard and it will bring up my internet history. And most other buttons don't do anything but make a noise. Thanks for helping.

Why does my laptop keyboard not work properly?
I spilt water on my laptop but only a tiny bit on the left side. Now it won't type properly and random, continuous 0's appear as well as 's and 's. I have disconnected the keyboard and the random typing stops but as soon as I reconnect it it begins again.Does anyone know why this might be?It's been like it for 2 days ne so I'm assuming it will have dried out by now. Might just have to get a new one Mouse buttons are broken now too.

Laptop keyboard not working properly after spilling drink in it 6 MONTHS AGO!?
Hello there. My dorm mate was being an idiot one night and spilt cherry coke and alcohol all over my computer. The next couple of days, the 'e' and 'w' buttons were not functioning properly. I had the computer whiz on my floor look at it, and all he did was take the keys off and unstick the little rubber domes. After that, my computer was working fine with no problems at all. Now, just about 2 days ago, I realized that my 'e' and 'w' keys were acting up again I am really confused because I haven't even spilt anything in the keyboards since that fateful night.Anyways, I tried to fix it myself by unsticking the rubber dome to the keys again. Now the 'e' key works fine, but whenever i press the 'w' key, it outputs 'we'. I'm guessing that somehow it fried some circuits on the inside?? Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I have completely removed the keyboard from the laptop, but I am not sure what to do from here....Thanks,Joey

Laptop Keyboard not working properly?
It'll hold down buttons like rrrrrrrrrrr for long periods of time even though I can't see it doing this and buttons won't respond. Pressing hard on the buttons seems to do good for it and it responds better.I've tried deleting keyboard driver, virus scan, cleaning the keys compressed air , etc. So I was thinking it might have something to do with the connection? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I.E if it's broken, how to fix it, etc. It's a Compaq nc6400Thanks in advance

Laptop keyboard not working properly?
I'm currently on a different computer. I turned off my Toshiba Qosmio laptop and restarted it, but the laptop keys aren't responding. The power button is fine and, before I get to the log in screen, the F1 F2 etc keys seem to be fine ... but when it comes to typing my password, nothing happens. However, Shift M seems to work as enter and backspace has an effect, although it's impossible to tell what it acts as. However, if I leave it for a while and wait for the screen to sleep before 'waking' it, the keyboard works perfectly and continues to do so until I shut down restart again.Does anyone know what could be wrong and or how to fix it, bearing in mind I can't actually access anything on the computer? When I entered system restore, it said Windows updated a day or two ago could this be a delayed effect? I've had problems with Windows updates before...System restore made no difference.
