S key on laptop keyboard not working right even after replacing the keyboard?
spilled milk on laptop keyboard and found a shop to replace the keyboard. the guy called a week later saying everything was working right with the new keyboard but the " s" key. everytime he hits it, it comes up wit the " save meun" what can be done?do i have to buy a whole new laptop just for one key?the thing is, it is only the " s" key that is not working right.. every time i press down on it it makes a sound or if im in " word" it will bring up the save meun.. am i goin to have to buy a new laptop? i already replace the keyboard with a new onei dont think sticky keys would only work on that one key.spilled milk on the laptop and took it to a computer shop and they ordered a new keyboard and called and said everything was fine but the " s" keyis the " s" short circuiting?
Why is my laptop keyboard not working right?
My laptop keyboard occasionally types the wrong keys. Not all of them are wrong, usually it's just certain keys. Here are the keys that type wrong the first letter is the original key and the second letter number is what it is incorrectly typing j 1k 2l 3u 4i 5o 6p and m 0I have noticed that whenever the keys are typing the wrong thing, there is a little blue light above my laptop keyboard that is on and likely when the little blue light is off, the keyboard is typing correctly. I have a HP laptop, i don't know exactly what kind.. i think maybe DV500 or something? but what can i do to fix this and is their a certain key i am pressing to make it do this?
Laptop keyboard not working right?
I hooked my laptop up to an external monitor and keyboard. When I try to unhook them and just use the laptop monitor and keyboard, the laptop keyboard does not work right. It doesn't type the correct letter. How do I fix this? I assume it has something to do with the external keyboard. Is there some way to switch between the two?I've tried the suggestions contained in the answers and it has not helped. I supposed I'll have to call Gateway. Thanks anyway
Laptop keyboard not working right...?
I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 laptop. i got it back in August of last year and i just noticed that the keyboard is slow when i type. sometime it even misses letters that i type. So is there a reason why its doing this, or a way to fix it? thanks
