What is laptop keyboard repair cost?
How can I get my laptop keyboard repaired?
I spilled water on it accidentally and now the keys do not work right? the arrow buttons do not work and when I press t it comes out as t5 when I press y it comes out as y6. Is this repairable? Any solutions? Don't have any warranty.
Troubleshooting laptop keyboard repair?
Long story short...I spilled a coke on my laptop. Paid someone to replace the keyboard. Everything worked for a few months. Then the g and h keys stopped working. It has sat for a few months, and now I am getting around to fixing it.I figured this was an easy replacement so I popped off the little cover plate, unscrewed the keyboard, and slipped it out. I flipped up the little connection and pulled out the ribbon.I was going to order a replacement keyboard, I got the part number off the back . Before I did, I reversed the process and re attached the keyboard. I fired it up, and now several more keys do not work.Is the ribbon connection very finicky? Could my keyboard be fine, just have a temper mental ribbon?A replacement can be had for 25 bucks. Should I just order the already replaced keyboard, and reinstall?It wouldn't be a driver or some other BS would it? Thanks for any input.p.s. Its a dell inspiron keyboard part number D587 US
Where to get my laptop keyboard repaired?
My enter and number seven buttons are messed up.The plastic part that connects to the laptop is all bent on the enter key, because i took it out since i got a bit of water under it. The 7 key is a bit twisted but otherwise working.Could I take my laptop to Best Buy to get it repaired?I'm located in the Bay Area, if that helps and my laptop is an HP G62. It's over a year old now.What. I don't have a desktop, it's a laptop and I don't have the money to buy another computer because of broken keys....

Question about laptop keyboard repairs?
Hi there, today I removed my keys to clean beneath them, and as I was replacing the space bar and the enter key, I coudn't get them to fit back into place. I took it to Future Shop to see if they could help, but even they were having troouble, and now it seems we have to replace my entire keyboard for the sake of two keys. Both of them have that strange " metal clip" feature to help their size stay in and bounce back up properly I guess? , and we believe somehow these clips were bent or the little metal outcroppings within the underneath of the keyboard may have been damaged as I tried to fit them back in whatever the reason they are not going back into my computer. I have an HP laptop. How much do you suppose fixing the keyboard will cost? And, is it not possible to simply repair the two that are stuck out, instead of having to tear out the entire keyboard to replace it?I know how to put keys back it looks like the problem now lies with the board, as I fussed with them for hours and so did the technician at the computer repair department I brought it to. As I said, the problem does not seem to lie with the keys, but with the board itself.

My love just busted a key tryin to clean his laptop keypad... I told em I knew how to remove mine from my personal computer.... seeing well yeah just a convo ya know so he gets the big idea to do his laptop... and I KNOW him to well... he thinks because someone else can do something he can to... which is totally wrong... because he don't think things though... I watched a video on youtube how to and I didn't PRY my keys off I was slow and gentile... knowing him he thought it was like pulling teeth....So now his 1 year old laptops messed up.....and idk what to do about it.He wont have to get a new laptop right? I mean I heard you CAN replace the whole keypad on those things... hers is a Dell... so would they replace the keypad for him? If so how much do they cost.... I wanna make sure he can get back to me asap I wonder why the laptop keyboards cost more?haha she got her comp from Dell for about 400..... I wonder if theres one someone might be throwing away or used that she could use and maybe create a Frankenstein.. Granted its the came computer... OR ebay could work...
Laptop keyboard repair?
two years ago I spilled water on my laptop keyboard and I've been using a separate keyboard ever since but now I'm sic of it. Where can I take my laptop to get fixed for a good price and a small amount of time? I asked one place and they wanted $150 and to keep my laptop for a month. There has to be a better deal right? Any advice on how to do it myself? I'd much rather just take it in to a place to get fixed but if there is a simple way to do it myself plz tell me.

a few keys popped off of the keyboard of my laptop, along with some of the frames. i have all the pieces together and i was going to try and fix it myself but my fingers are too big does anyone know how much it would cost to have it done at Staples, Best Buy or another store? Thanks
