My laptop keyboard's typing multiple characters?
I was on facebook, then out of nowhere, my keyboard just started being weird.When I type " o" , it comes out " l.o" When I type " l" , it also comes out " l.o" , When I type " d" , it comes out" dce" , and whenever I type " e" or " c" , it also comes out " dce" What is going on?? I shut down, and it's going the same thing again. I tried the whole " FN and ctrl or alt or shift" many times, nothing works though It's driving me crazy I had to use another laptop to type this out, and use the " ON SCREEN KEYBOARD" to log in earlier to my laptop. How do I fix this? Keyboard is built in to my laptop, and I checked CTRL PANEL, and it said the device is working fine How do I fix this? Also , lang is ENGL, and num lock is off Thanks to all who help I really want this to be fixed
My laptop keyboard is behaving in weird ways...?
when i press the 0 key 6 is pressed and when i press the asterix, something else is typed...i think i've pressed some button by mistake..please help.
A friend of mine attacked my laptop keyboard to clean it and...?
Now my arrow keys are going funky and I don't know how to fix it. I don't know if some button or combination of buttons would cause it to go down to the bottom of the page instead of just scrolling through a page when I'm trying to use them, but I was wondering if someone could give me some suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
My laptop keyboard got screwed up?
So over the weekend someone who I didn't want coming over to my house ended up coming over anyway because my friend didn't want to think of an excuse to tell him he can't. Big mistake. The guy I didn't want coming over ending spelling his soda on my $600 laptop's keyboard and pretty much killing it. The harddrive in my laptop is still fine however so I was wondering if I get a new laptop if I can take everything in my harddrive and transfer it to the new one? Also since he is the one that caused me this headache should I make him pay for the new laptop and how ever much it costs to transfer the harddrive?
When I type on this laptop keyboard, the cursor randomly moves around and looses my place?
As I am typing something, I always have my fingers in the proper home row positition, raised up, and I can type like 65 to 70 words a minute accurately, but this stupid Asus Laptop brand computer I'm using, the cursor jumps all around to random spots, and deletes words randomly, highlights words randomly, and erases words too. I never know when the cursor will jump around. I'm not hitting any buttons by accident either. And it cuts my typing speed in half. The keys on the keyboard are big though, and easy to read, just the cursor keeps moving to different areas. This isn't my usual computer, just using it at someone's house when I'm watching her dogs. She knows about it and has difficulty typing on it too.For example, the cursor will be at the end of the above paragraph, but than randomly jump to the 3rd or 4th sentence, in the middle of it. It has a mind of it's own, otherwise, it will continue on typing normally. David, there is a wireless mouse. It's not my computer, and it doesn't have anything to do with the built in mouse pad.I am on this lady's guest account, so I probably don't have administrative access to turn the touch pad off
How to disconnect or turn off my laptop keyboard?
I spilled sprite on the left side of my keyboard right on the cap, shift, and tab keys. Like a dumbasss I wiped it then kept using it for a couple min I turned it off and plugged out the charger then fell asleep. This morning none of the keys worked and to my horror there was still a little liquid under the keys. I have a USB keyboard I can use in the meantime but the space key on the laptop is acting like Its being pushed down, how can I turn off the keyboard and just use the USB, I have work to do.
Is there any free keyboard software were i can use my laptop keyboard as the controls?
My laptop keyboard doesn't work, but my backspace does?
My backspace is the opposite. When I try to sign into my laptop, it does a ding sound. When I click backspace, it shows the black dot like I typed a letter. I cant do a system check because I'm not signed in. Help Never mind, I accidently clicked the alt button
How do i control my desktop with my laptop keyboard and mouse only?
i dont have a monitor my desktop plugged into my tvs hdmi my wireless mouse wont reach long enough neither my keyboard i just wanted to know if there is any way to control my desktop using only the keyboard and mouse of my laptop i dont want to see my desktop screen on the laptop i want to control it using the mouse and keyboard but still keep looking at my tv i just wanted to know if its possible ive tried windows 7 remote connection but i see my desktop on my laptop screen and the tv screen goes to the login screen thanks for your help
Laptop Keyboard with Tablet?
Hi,My macbook has bluetooth capability. Just of curiosity, is it possible to use the keyboard on my laptop with tablet via bluetooth? I have an HP Touchpad .I know that all bluetooth enabled keyboards will work with it, I just want to know if a keyboard built into my laptop can replicate that functionality via bluetooth.Thanks
Laptop keyboard is giving me so many wrong characters?
A friend recently gave me their laptop for what I thought was a great price, until I got home and realized that whenever I would type " p" it would move my cursor behind the letter making it look like this eoleppBut thats not all, the left and right arrows will give me 0 and p too.delete ends up as insert ends up as 'home ends up as end will look like page up looks like and page down is this is very VERY annoying and I dont know what I can do, He refuses to take it back and NOW tells me of this problem. You can say I was naive to take it, but the laptop itself works well.Oh one more thing, this has nothing to do with the language setting, that works perfectly fine. I use it often to switch from writing to hebrew and arabic and it does the same thing on those languages as well
Acer Aspire 5820TG Laptop Keyboard keys not responding?
Hi guys, I have a laptop with a numpad on the right site of my keyboard. The and but some buttins not responding when I want to type something, all the other buttons do react though. I can still use the and buttons in combination with Ctrl to zoom in and out, but they do not work for typing in Word or Excel. Does someone know a solution?
Laptop Keyboard input all weird!?
I tried to type into the browser but whenever I hit a key, it gives a function instead. For example, the f key gives the find function, the w key closes the browser, and etc. I tried to hit both shift keys, thinking because I accidentally activated the sticky keys, but it didn't work. I also checked if my keyboard was programmed for USA and it is. Please help
Laptop keyboard not working!?
Okay so I was using my laptop last night and it worked just fine. I went to school the next day and came back an tried to log in. However I found that my J K L and keys aren't working. So I can't log in because my password has the letter K in it. Any advice on how this could happen and how to fix it?I tried reseting it several times. It hasn't worked...
