How do you repair a laptop lcd inverter?
Where would I find a replacement cable for a laptop lcd inverter??
I tried replacing the lcd inverter on my laptop, but when trying unplug the cable running from the motherboard to the inverter, I stripped out the wires and the plastic plug broke. The inverter is still good, but I need a new cable running from the motherboard to the inverter. I have a Compaq Presario V2405US laptop. Are there any sites that sell parts from junked laptops?? I've tried searching but haven't come up with anything yet.
Laptop LCD inverter wiring.?
I have a hp laptop and the backlight is not working. I tested the wires on the LCD inverter the wires that connects the inverter to the LCD screen with a volt meter. 0 is the reading. Before I buy a new LCD inverter I would like to know if the inverter is getting power. Can someone tell me which pins are positive and negative from them wires coming from the motherboard to the LCD inverter, also if there is an activate wire which pin is that. Thank you I have 6pins and it is a HP laptop.
Why would a laptop LCD inverter go bad?
I had a laptop, cracked the lcd screen, ordered a new screen and installed it, and all of a sudden the inverter is bad.. could this be because of a bad LCD screen?
Laptop LCD inverter or backlight or something else? Bought 2 inverters already, but need to continually unplug?
Screen went dim, looked on the internet and found it could be the inverter, ordered a new one, replaced and that worked for some time. Now the screen is out again and I have to repeatedly unplug and replug in the inverter to get screen to work, and only for a second or two and then it goes out until unplugged and replugged, and then goes out again etc... This happens with 2 different new inverters. Could it be the backlight bulb?

Problems with laptop LCD inverter?
Hi.I have a Toshiba L350D and the screen died. I tested the machine using an external monitor and it worked fine. I then tested the screen alone and it also is fine.I then bought an FL inverter for the model and replaced it. The laptop was back to life. After a few hours, it died again.I noticed that the screen was making a static noise and then going almost black every few minutes. If I pressed the power button, it would lock the Windows log on I could hear the Windows' sound of logging off and then if I pressed the power button again the LCD would light again back to the Windows' logon screen. A few minutes later, the same thing would happen the screen would go black, I would press the power button and etc .Now it's dead again. I can see that typical dark screen barealy readable a signal that the inverter is bad and I ran out of alternatives here.If the problem was in the ribbon, I think it wouldn't work neither with a new nor old inverter and it did work for a few hours am I correct? The rest of the hardware is fine. I don't know what to do from now on.Any suggestions? Please help me out.Thanks.
Laptop LCD inverter repeatedly breaks...?
I have an Averatec 6220 laptop that worked fine for about a year and a half. At that point, my screen went dim and I was told I needed a new lcd inverter but that it wasn't an available part so I just had to wait. Finally, a week ago, I found the correct lcd inverter online and had it delivered and I installed it. The screen turned right back on and I used the laptop for the last week and everything was fine. Today, I picked up the laptop and I heard a strange noise and then the screen wouldn't turn on. It's back to being dim like the lcd inverter is no longer working. So, I opened up the screen and disconnected the inverter and reconnected it hoping that would resolve the problem, but of course not, my screen is still dim While I was in there though, I found an itty bitty screw laying next to the lcd inverter that must have been just floating around in there. So, does it sound like the screw touched the inverter and broke it or is this a problem that is more complex?
Laptop lcd inverter blowing repeatedly - why would this happen?
Hi thereHave replaced an lcd inverter a few times only to have it blow again. What could be causing it to blow repeatedly? I am definitely using the right part.Is it possible that a faulty lcd ribbon could be causing the inverter to blow? Or is it more likely to be a problem with the mainboard? When it blew the first time, it had been going for a long time, and the screen flickered when I moved the hinges. If anyone can help, I would be really appreciative. Noone seems to know what to do M
