I just bought a Dell laptop linux with Ubuntu operating system 8.10 and it was working fine.?
when I downloaded Ubuntu 9.04 then the wireless connectivety went away. when I click on the two computer icons on top . The wireless networks option is grayed out. Before I was able to see all my neighbors and my encrypted connection but now I see nothing and I have tried the ubuntu web site but I can't make sense of it. Please help

Hi, Made a mistake when I installed Ubuntu 9in my laptop. Should have made it a dual boot & keep Windows XP but messed up & selected full Ubuntu install. just got a new laptop... long story short i'd like to be able ta multiboot from the harddrive. playing a little with a knoppix cd, but cant figure linux... and my laptop has been formatted and my xp install cd is asking for drivers, as it doesn't see the harddrive that is there.. sata thing, i realize though knowing that doesn't help in installing drivers it asks for them in floppy drive, which my laptop doesn't have long story short 1 i need to get an operating system on the laptop so i can put it online 2 i'd like to get a multiboot system.. maybe a linux windows clone? i really know nothing about lin, and am MUCH more comfortable with windows.thoughts suggestions? it possible to get knoppix to let me use my cd drive & install drivers, or is there a place to get a copy of xp that'll see my harddrive let me install drivers that it can see? any thoughts would be much appreciated
Laptop, Linux and Moblie Internet?
Hi guys.I have a Laptop that I now have loaded Fedora 8 on. My problem is that I cannot get my Mobile Phone to run off of the laptop, to connect to the net when I am on the road.I am using a MA 8620E USB Cable to connect to my phone. But I can't get the USB Cable to pick up correctly, never mind the cellphone. Any help would be appreciated.
