Is laptop memory the kind to usually use on a netbook?
I'm about to probably order a netbook, which comes as is usual with a 1 gb 667 Mhz ddr2 module installed. The FSB is 533 Mhz. Unlike other netbooks, however, this one has 2 ram slots. Since the max memory is 2GB, this means that each slot needs to carry a 1GB module. There won't be a need to put in a 2GB module and toss out the 1GB. I'm aware this is an unusual situation. However, I'm tempted to go ahead and order a 1GB module together with the machine. What kind should I get?

I'm purchasing a new laptop for Christmas and I want to make sure I get the perfect extras on it. The Inspiron 15 from Dell includes 3GB of memory, but I was wondering if I should choose the option for 1GB more. I'm expecting this laptop to last me through college, so I'll need enough memory. Laptop memory problem ?
Hi, Does anyone know how i add memory to my laptop, apparently it only has 224 memory and it should be a least 512, i wondered why it was so slow.Also since adding nortons 2009 security suite last March, i,ve never been able to get internet explorer, yet i can still get on websites, but i cant get any windows updates, and i cant click on my windows firewall either. As you can see i have,nt a clue how to fix these problems.i have been using Tune up utilities 2009, but thats hopeless, every time i put it on it states windows updates is switched off, so i click on their tab to fix it, then its says fixed, but i can go back 5 minutes later and the windows updates is still switched off, Help I,m at a loss what to do, to be honest i dont have a clue about computers, so i would very much appreciate advice from someone on here.I took off the Nortons a long time ago because i could not get it to work either.And finally would anyone know how much it would cost to get someone in to fix it, i,m in the UK. How can i upgrade my laptops memory?

Laptop Memory Keeps Vanishing?
i have a hp laptop with a 222Gb hardrive and the memory keeps disappearing, in the last hour the memory gone down 1gb, i have run my avast and spy ware doctor and i have no virus's or spy ware, what can i do?
