Why is my laptop mouse not working?
I have a gateway laptop and the built in mouse stopped working after my cat was laying on the keyboard. I figure he probably somehow changed the settings while laying on it. I just need to know how to fix it. Thanks for any help.

So, i recently a month ago? bought an hp dv6 65g35x or something like that.... from best buy for 580. now, all to about a week ago, the mouse has been working fine. then it started acting up while i was playing League of Lengends. it started jumping around the screen and such. then i tried it online and it started to not only jump around the screen, but randomly zoom out and in with my hand on it, or scroll down when i only had one finger on it. what's wrong? ? ?

Laptop mouse not working!?
I'm on my moms laptop, and for some reason the touch mouse of the laptop does not work. It all of a sudden stopped, and I have no idea how to make it work again. it's an Acer . Right now I'm using the cordless mouse. If anyone has any idea why this is happening, and if anyone knows how to fix this PLEASE let me know. Thanks
Laptop mouse not working...?
Ok, so basically, I found an HP pavillion dv4000 in the trash, and the harddrive was busted presumably why it ws thrown away , but I have it running puppy linux off of a usb drive atm. Everything seems to be working except for the touch pad, and I have to use a usb mouse in its place though that too seems to be rather buggy .What can I do to fix the mouse?

my laptop cursor mouse thing sometimes, not often, stops working.the computer is not frozen because i can still type and go on new pages but the mouse wont move at all and it wont click.i have to restart my computer because of this.

ok so the touchpad and everything else about my mouse wont work at all, ive tried plugging in an usb mouse and that doesnt work either, i even went to the toshiba website to download drivers for it and it still doesnt work, if it helps i have a toshiba satellite running vista, any suggestions? id really appreciate the help
Laptop mouse not working?
I was on my lap top and suddenly everything froze and I couldn't move my mouse. I waited a minute until it unfroze and I could move the mouse, but when I tried to click on something it wouldn't work. It will highlight whatever I try to click on, but when I click it does nothing at all. This is with everything, including the start menu and shortcuts on the desktop. I'm using the mouse pad on the laptop, not a hand mouse. I tried restarting it, shutting it down, safe mode, safe mode with networking, and taking the battery out. I don't know what else I can possibly do. I haven't dropped it and it hasn't got anything spilled on it. It's fairly new. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Built-in Laptop Mouse Not Working?
Whenever I start up my computer, the mouse will work for a few minutes before freezing up and becoming unresponsive, both the touch pad and the buttons. I have a mouse that plugs into the USB that I'm temporarily using, but I would like to have the built in mouse working again. Any ideas as to what the problem is? My computer is an HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and I run Windows 7 Home Premium.
