Laptop no sound device manager empty?
I have a hp pavillion ze4125 laptop and recently the sound quit.I have gone to sounds in my control pannel and it dosen't detect any sound device so when I go to control panel,systems,device manager there are no files or icons.Completly empty. The error that comes up when I start my computer is snmaster.idx database file. Could it be the sound card that went out or a virus?? any ideas

Dell laptop, no sound device?
It says my Dell laptop has no sound device. My sister lost the disc that went with the laptop...& when it was having problems dell cleared like EVERYTHING off the laptop. How do I get this sound device back on the laptop?
