What is this weird laptop noise?
It has happened twice today, real quick like in the video and sounded exactly the same, except that video isn't mine I just found it online. Does anyone know if this is something serious? Loud beeping laptop noise?
When using my other laptop, it randomly freezes up and beeps very loud and freezes like that beeping. So I have to shut it off. What is wrong and what should I do to fix it?Damn. It is a dell. And I just got another Dell laptop too. Delicious.
HP laptop noise?
My best laptop choice is dv9000 from HP, yet I have heard one thing about high pitched bugging noise. Is that true, is it on evry HP laptop, is it that disturbing?
Weird laptop noise? Please help!?
ok, i have a dell XPS m1530. and it has worked perfectly fine up until one day, an area underneath it started to make weird little static like noises. its not the speakers though. it is around the area where i usually rest my left hand when typing. what can it be? i really appreciate your help.

My girlfriend has a Sony Vaio laptop, and out of the blue it began making a beeping noise. I am somewhat tech savvy, I know it is not a bios beep, battery, or the mysterious exclamation. It literally sounds like a beeper from the 90's.Beep beep, beep beep, beep beep, beep beepOne quickly after another, very brief pause, then repeat three times. All help appreciated.
Should i be worried about these laptop noises?
i just bought a new laptop a few days ago, and today it started making noises. it doesn't do it randomly, it makes a little click whirring sound when i click a link or change websites. thats it. it doesnt do it by itself. i would say this sound is coming from the front left of the laptop, or under the touchpad. another noise happens when i just stop typing or moving the cursor for a few moments. it sounds similar to the noise a printer makes when it is pushing a piece of paper out when its done printing the text. i'm pretty certain this sound is coming from under the " enter backspace" region of the keyboard.also, i turned the speakers off, and i know this is not coming from there. should i be worried about this? i have 14 days to return it if it is defective, and i need to make this decision. if someone is willing to offer some advice, that would be great. also, if there is anything else you need to know, ask me, and i'll respond with an edit. thank you.no, it isnt the fan. the fan doesnt turn on for a split second like this noise. it only lasts for a split second when i refresh, click a link, go to a webpage, or basically send any new data through internet explorer.

Toshiba A-200 -AH9 laptop noises?
I recently bought my Toshiba laptop with a dual core 2 processor and about 2gigs of ram on windows vista. What was apparent about my laptop is that the fan likes to go off every few minutes and that my hard drive makes a rather faint crackling noise. The hard drive light on my laptop is constantly flashing. I don't know too much about laptop but is this normal? What could be causing the hard drive to crackle like this? Thanks.
HP 6735s Laptop Noise?
I have had a HP 6735s laptop since September 2009. The battery is worn out and the laptop only works when plugged in but in the last week or so, my quiet laptop has been making one hell of a noise.Its grating and making clicking noises, and its getting so I can't use it when I am on the train as it is far too noisy.What could possibly be causing this problem and is it fixable?I'm a student and use my laptop for all my uni work so buying a new one isn't an option.Thanks
Laptop noise, is this normal?
I just got a new laptop it's a Sony Vaio EB series and it's making this really low noise it sounds like eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... that my old laptop never made. Is this just because it's a newer model or is there something wrong with it? The noise runs with the fan sometimes, I don't know if that makes any difference. The new laptop that is making the noise has an i5 intel processor, does that make the laptop create that noise? Please help, I really have no clue if this might turn into a bad situation though so far the noise is hurting my ear...please tell me if this noise is normal. Thanks in advance

Laptop noise; is my hard drive going to break?
I just noticed a couple of days ago that my laptop doesn't sound quite the same as it used to. Specifically, there is a faint hum from the right hand side, which has always been there, but now that sound seems to periodically change between two different states, one slightly louder than the other. The difference is subtle enough that I can only really make it out when the case fan isn't making noise the fan seems to be on the left hand side, and during normal usage it will occasionally spin up for a while to keep the case cool , and the transitions often seem to accompany momentary hard drive activity. Is that humming sound the hard drive, or some secondary fan on the other side of the machine that may be affected by the balance of the hard drive? I know my desktop has two fans, but I've never opened up this machine. If the noise is the hard drive, does that mean it's about to fail? Or is it just a little loose and needs some screws tightened? The sound doesn't really match any of the ' insert sound here of death' sounds I've heard on the Web, but I'm still concerned.
Laptop noise, like static?
Got a new HP DV7 3078nr laptop, it makes a very quiet noise sounds like static from the upper right corner of the base of laptop. First thought it was coming from speakers, but I shut them down and still hear it. Is this normal hard drive noise? I see the light with the disc emblem on the bottom left edge of laptop flashes in time with the " static" . I have acute hearing so I don't know if this is normal and I am reacting or if it is an issue. My roommate cannot hear it.

my laptop is making a horrendous noise sometimes when its start up, like a sewing machine on overdrive, is my lappie on its way out xthanks that was very helpfull both of you,x i always have it on a table top, are you sure i wont hoover the components out lol..doesnt do it all the time.
