The left mouse key on my HP dm4t laptop notebook is cracked and wobbly? Is this covered in warranty?
Basically, while I was normally using the left clicker on my laptop just under the touch pad to click something, I heard a little crack and saw that the key became wobbly. It is still functional, but if you gently tap the top left of the key, it slants out of place...although a minor thing, I would like this fixed, since it's the only thing wrong with the laptop I know that HP has a limited one year warranty, and I got this laptop last June, so the warranty should still be good until this summer. I have needed the laptop for school, but I was planning on sending it in this summer. I was wondering if this problem would be covered in the warranty... I know that it's a physical problem, but it was due to purely using the laptop normally, and wasn't " accidental damage" .Any & all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance Oh, and another good point Do I need to send it in to fix it? Or can I take it to Best Buy or some other place with HP reps and will they do it for free?Thank you
Would Linux Mint 12 work on Acer and Lenovo laptop notebook computers?
I may get a notebook computer soon. Probably an Acer Aspire. Or a Lenovo Ideapad or Thinkpad. I want to install Linux Mint 12 on it.Will it work alright on either notebook? The video is Integrated Intel HD. Will the Linux Mint system be able to install drivers, if needed, for it? And for the sound, wireless, internet, and other devices?I forgot that I can test it out from the install disc, which I already have set up. I can do that. Also, as for messing up the OS the laptop comes with, I have a separate hard drive for Linux Mint. The laptop will likely come with a 5,200 RPM hard drive. I have a 7,200 RPM hard drive I can use for Linux Mint.
