Question: Laptop part missing on bottom of laptop inside of computer exposed how can i get a new part?

Dell vostro 1500 I paid 600$ for this computer plus 400 for repairs so I have put enough money into it plus u need it to mobile for college but it's hard because a piece is missing on the bottom exposing the inside of the computer a card says 1gb and I need to know how & where to find a new piece. It seems like you have lost the cover for your memory slot. Contact Del (of find a spare part somewhere as it should be able to be found easily) and then you will be good.

Have you tried doing a Google search for parts for that specific model? I'm guessing that is the way most of us would find the answer for you. You're a big boy now. Try a little personal initiative. : ) Either that, or at least provide us with an exact model number so we have a little more to go on (1500 is just the series). Helps if you mention what country you are in, also. No point in us steering you to a part in India, if you are in Croatia.

Sounds like someone left a screw loose or didn't replace the screw. I suspect that you are looking for the cover for the memory slot. Personally, I would go to eBay and search for your make & model number. cgi.ebay.com/ Dell-Inspiron-1520-1720-memory-Door-Bay-Cover-UW439-/ 350170620962?cmd= ViewItem &pt= LH_DefaultDomain_0 &hash= item5187cba422 I think this is the cheapest that you will find it... also, it appears to come with a screw.
