Hp laptop quad core to duel core?
I have the hp pavilion g6 series laptop. When i am at school it runs at a Temperature of around 50 60 degrees. It gets really hot and i was wondering because it is a quad core am i able to switch it to only run on two cores in msconfig? will it still run properly and not ruin any of the stuff on my laptop. thanks

i currently have a HP Pavilion DV6724TX with a 2.2GHz Dual core and was looking to upgrade to a Quad core. but wasn't sure if it was available... and had no idear where to get from.does anyone out there know?installing it isnt a hastle. nether is cost.im not really into high detail games.anyone?1? ?

So i'm getting an hp computer this summer to take to college this fall. I am looking at the hp pavilion dv6t or the pavilion dv6t quad core. I'm just using it for school and don't play games much. I want to get an i7 preferably 2nd gen quad core laptop with 640GB HDD Or Higher and 6GB of Ram Or Higher.Seen lots of deals but they just say i7 dont mention how many cores.Also I'm Wondering How Much RAM It should have because I see powerful computers with like 4GB Want to play games really powerfully like battlefield 3 and need to know how much ram I should get
