Toshiba Satellite l505-s5990 laptop ram?
I have a toshiba laptop running windows 7 32 bit and i installed 4 gb of ram, it originally had 3 gigs. Now when i go into systems details its says 4 gigs of ram installed 2.87 gb usable . Is there anyway without going to a 64 bit windows that my laptop will use all 4 gbs?I know the ram isnt corrupt or installed incorectly, Pretty sure it is the 32 bit operating system and i was looking to see if theres a way around it. Laptop RAM upgrade help!?
i have 512x2 1GB ram DDR2 PC2 4200s , crucial scan says max 2GB upgrade using DDR2 PC2 5300 DDR2 667 . i tried two things 1 i put 2GBx1 DDR2 5300. cpu z shows DRAM 266mhz, and slot 1 max bandwith PC2 5300 333mhz J1 200, J2 266, J3 333. 2 i put 2GBx1 DDR2 5300 in 1st slot and in 2nd slot 512x1 512 ram DDR2 PC2 4200s why to waste old ram and slot right . cpu z still shows DRAM 266mhz, slot 1 max bandwith PC2 5300 333mhz , and slot 2 max bandwith PC2 4200s 266mhz ,does this mean both RAM are compatible and increased memory is helpful? or should i stick to 2GBx1 and leave other slot empty? either ways its shows DRAM as 266mhz not 333mhz , and i did notice faster right click with 2gb 512 combo. what option is the best, 1 or 2nd.. plz helpP.S how to i know the speed of RAM. CPU Z shows DDRAM 266mhz, with both PC 4200 and PC 5300 rams
HP Laptop RAM Upgrade?
I have a HP g4 1117dx that I purchased in August. I use it a lot, and would like to upgrade the amount of RAM it has. It came with 4 GB of DDR3 memory, which it still has. Today I took off the back cover, and it appears there is only space for one module, which is the 4GB it came with. So, I looked around the HP store and other sites online, and it appears the most memory on a single module is 4GB. I would like to know if I was wrong somewhere, and if so, how would I go about upgrading the amount of RAM my computer has. If this helps, the card is made by Ramaxel. Thanks
Laptop ram upgrade question! Please help!?
I have a laptop preloaded with 4GB ram and upgradeable to 8GB...This is my laptop.....Lenovo IdeaPad Z575 1299 2AU Notebook PC AMD...There are 2 4x2 ram slots....I purchased an extra 4GB Patriot memory 1333ghz basically the exact same ram that is already installed in order to upgrade to 8GB. I followed the instructions and installed the extra ram as directed in the top slot angled at 45 degrees and it snapped in place perfectly. However, at startup, the computer doesn't seem to be reading the extra ram. It is still reading 4GB and not 8GB. Is there a reason it's not reading the extra ram? I am quite sure I installed the extra ram perfectly. And the Patriot memory is for notebooks and has the exact specs as the factory installed ram. What's the deal with my laptop not reading the extra ram on display??I just checked and the OS is Windows 7 Home Edition 64 Bit. So I guess it's not the OS. Is there another explanation?

I use to have a window 7 with 8 gb of ram, and I had a bunch of games. I gave it to my dad since he needed it more than me, cause his laptops has 1 gb of ram an his program needs 2 gb of ram. So I'm stuck with my old 2004 1gb of ram windows xp laptop. I was just wondering if I could somehow upgrade my ram instead of buying a new laptop.

Okay, so I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 419WM laptop, and I really want a RAM upgrade to help run minecraft a little bit better. Yes, i know it is a P.O.S. laptop, but I only have it for two more years until i can buy a new one, so I just want to make these next two years a little bit easier. I have 2 gb ram right now and I plan on upgrading it to 4 gb. I recently known that I have an " extra port" for another ram.
