Question: Laptop repair costs - how much do lcd shops usually charge to fix a 14-15" laptop screen?

I repair laptops for a living and normally charge a flat fee. However, some repair shops might charge by the hour as well. For a 14-15 " laptop screen, I usually charge $115-125. This includes labor & parts but excludes the LCD panel and motherboard.

If you have cracked the screen or done any damage, I have seen screens cost up to $418 not including any parts of labor. If your laptop is over 3 or 4 yrs and you did not spend more than 1500, i would just get a new one.
