Asus laptop screen repairs?
I have asus laptop and the screen broke im looking all over the internet for the cheapest screen to replace it. The model is k52f and the serial number is abn0bc001228. i have looked on popular sites like laptop screen.com and they were about 60 dollars. if anyone knows of a reliable website that sells them cheaper i would be grateful.

I have been given a free laptop with a non working17" screen though the computer works fine. If the computer is hooked up to a monitor, all works well.Anyone else have this issue before? I wouldn't mind putting some money into it as it is free and otherwise works fine.

On a trans continental flight, my laptop a dell inspiron got a cracked screen due to pressure on it and turbulence. Upon the first arrival, maybe 2 3rds of the screen was usable. More flights damaged it further and it is at the point where the screen is completely unusable for the meantime I am using an HDMI cable to my TV to serve as a screen . Is it worth taking it to be repaired? I spent about 800 pounds on it, and the screen is completely unusable, and was considering getting a new one if I couldn't find a way of reparation. Once it has been fixed, they have to power it up to make sure it works, will they find out my laptops security password to fully power it up or just power it up to where you type in your password to make sure the screen works? If someone who has worked in one of the workshops and has had to make sure the screen worked could answer that would be very helpful, thanks

so last night i accidentally stood on my laptop lid closed and when i went to use it, i noticed when i turned it on, half the screen was funny, black dots everywhere, funny fuzzy coloured lines and just basically broke, bloody great im guessing ill need to get a new screen fitted, where shall i go to get it done? and any idea how much it will cost me, im in the UK, thanks
Scratched Laptop Screen, repair?
my laptop screen has a rather noticable scratch on it from a fan falling on top of it. its about half an inch long and 15th of an inch thick. The laptop is rather new a Dell Studio 1535. I was curious if anyone knew if dell did screen replacements or if someone knew a way for me to patch this. The screen is glossy and looks plastic or glass looking almost not like the old screens. And I wanted to rub some of that stuff they use to repair glasses but my friend said I shouldnt....is there any way to fix this?
Laptop Screen Repair - New Backlight?
Hi, This is my first time posting a ques. I have a Dell Inspirion 1150 Laptop, which I bought in 2004. Very suddenly my screen blacked out I can still faintly see the desktop, it works if I strain to see where the mouse is and where to click, etc. so this tells me the laptop and screen are not bad. My friend suggested that its the lightbulb or back light and that I can hook up my hold monitor to it so I can temporarily function, but its not a long term fix. How do I go about getting this fixed? I don't have warrenty, I'm sure Dell would be very expensive if I sent it to them. Is it something I or one of my more techy friends can pick up and fix? Or do I have to bring this to a repair place? If so, who would you suggest in Mercer County, NJ? Thanks to all those who take the time to answer
