Haha.

My laptop speakers stopped working?
I know there have been similar questions asked, but I need a little more info.I have an HP Pavilion dv6000. The speakers suddenly stopped working, but headphones work fine. Of course my warranty expired 2 months ago After hours of trying to figure this out I'm not a very technological person , I'm resigned to trying to reinstall the sound driver from the hp website. The problem is, when I try to install it, I get the following message " You must accept the HP Download Manager software to use HP's automatic features.Your security settings may be preventing installation of the ActiveX control needed to use HP's download manager." I tried deactivating my Norton, but that doesn't help.Usually when that type of message appears, there is also an information bar that I just click on to install the Active X control but this time there was none.I have the option to just download it to my hard drive, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it if I do that.Help

My laptop speakers stop working after about 20 seconds, then just occasionally crackle?
I've had my laptop for about 13 months, and about a month ago, typically just after the warranty ran out, my speakers keep cutting out, and as they're built in, i know its not a case of the wrong port or a loose connection. they'll work when i first log on, the windows tune works, but crackles a little. if i put music on, it crackles once, then plays it, then after a little while crackles again and no sound comes out. occasionally theyll work again for a few seconds, but the sound will dip between speakers, then cut off again. i'm at a bit of a loss, could if be some sort of software problem, or are they just blown?i've got an acer aspire 5715Z, with the default built in speakers. please help sorry i forgot to mention, when i plug headphones in, it does exactly the same, if theirs sounds it jumps from one speaker to the other, or just doesnt work at all.

My laptop speakers stop working at random time.?
i have external laptop speakers with a usb cord for power and to install the speakers to the computer and one cord to plug into the headphone jack. I will listen to one song on these speakers they work perfectly fine. when I start another song though they stop working. After I unplug them and try to use the speakers built in to the computer those wont work either for a few minutes and all of a sudden will start working again. I've tried everything I can think of.

Laptop speakers stopped working Sony Vaio?
I have a Sony Vaio laptop. Its been awhile, so i dont remember what i was doing when my speakers stopped working, but headphones do work. device manager does not show a problem. Also theres 2 buttons, along with the power button, in the top right corner of keyboard that powered the volume and these buttons seem to have no effect. Ive tried as others have suggested to plug and unplug headphone jack but makes no difference. i really dont know where to go from here. im not tech savvy so any help would be much appreciated. thanksif i need to take apart laptop, can anyone link a good how to site. or even just make a simply step guide. thank you very much for your help

Laptop speakers stopped working, but headphones work?
I was studying for exams last week and I put in headphones while I was studying to listen to some music. A couple days later I tried to play some music out of the computer speakers headphones unplugged of course and they weren't working. So i plugged the headphones back in and sure enough sound would still come out of the headphones. All my sound settings are correct and I'm not sure what the problem is. Today I got back on and sounds were playing out of the computer, so I thought problem was solved. But then about an hour later I went to play some music again and it stopped working. Any ideas?A Dell Inspiron E1505. It was working earlier, and I haven't touched the settings or headphone jack and now it's stopped again. Doesn't make any sense. Also the volume is cranked up all the way on the settings. The device is working fine in the device manager. Everything is where it should be, but idk somethings wrong. I thought it might be the jack sensor, but i haven't touched it and it went from working to not working so i'm not sure. The device in control panel is set up correctly as well.
