Dell Inspiron B120 laptop speakers wont work. help?
well ive had my dell for about a year now. a little more. the speakers have just, all of a sudden, stopped working. ive tried using headphones and that doesnt work either. ive adjusted the sound settings probally 20 30 times. the mute isnt on, and the volume is all the way up but i hear nothing. absolutely nothing. my media player says that things are playing but i cant hear them. PLEASE HELP i just want my music back

They are not broken, they still make the beep noise for " sticky keys" press shift 5 times No they are not on mute. The speaker icon that used to be located in the lower right next to the time isnt there. I have tried downloading new drivers for it. If i go to, control panel, sound and audio devices, it says i have no audio playback device and a cant click on it to change it. unbold, gray text .
HP laptop speakers wont work - Altec lansing?
The speakers on my laptop wont work. I still hear the beep when i press the volume buttons but no sound wll play. When i have headphones pluged in, the sound only comes through one side of the headphones and is very low. I've tried updating the drivers but it didnt help. Could it be a problem with the sound card?

ok recently i was using my laptop out in public so i plugged in some headphones to be courteous, when i got home and unplugged them my built in speakers did not work. they worked just fine before i left the house when i plugged the headphones back in they worked fine, but again i unplugged them and no sound from the speakers. now the other day the speakers worked fine until i plugged in the headphones. i plugged them in to use once and after that the speakers stopped working again. what is going on i hate to have to use headphones all the time.
