Would you recommend a laptop tablet?
I'm looking for a used laptop tablet, something like a " LAPTOP HP TC1100 Windows Tablet Pro." I want something older that I can get cheaper, and has the ability to get on the internet, and use Microsoft Office software. The older pc tablets seem like what I'm looking for... now the question is Do they work well? Are they good quality? Are they worth any money at all??? I would love to hear your opinion if you've owned one before Thank you

Solid State Drive worth it for laptop tablet?
I will soon be purchasing a laptop tablet, most likely the Thinkpad X220t.One option is for a solid state drive, which obviously bumps the price quite a bit and has a drive with a max capacity of 160gb.Now since I would be using this laptop a lot as a tablet, in my lap on the go and moving around with it a lot, do I really need the SSD?I imagine myself playing with it on the couch and getting up and walking to the kitchen, ect. Moving around with the unit, but would this constitute needing an SSD?It won't be tossed around or treated poorly, so a standard drive should do just as well? Thanks for the imput

Medical student looking for a proper study tool, ie laptop, tablet?
I'm a medical student in India. Most of my lectures are on ppt or pdf. I'm sick of having my laptops break down on me... so I'm thinking of getting a Macbook Pro and a tablet which i can carry around in place of the laptop. Is a Macbook Pro a good option for longterm use? also i am looking for a tablet that will be able to read word, ppt and pdf documents. The obvious tablet out there is ipad, but I have come across the Viewsonic Viewpad 7" and the Blackberry Playbook. Im looking for something that will last long and not very expensive. Your advice will be much appreciated

Programs finding the right laptop/tablet?
There are so many new laptops and tablets out on the market that it's overwhelming to look at all the specs, sizes, OS, etc. Is there a program online that can help me find the perfect laptop? One that is updated on the laptop tablet market, looks into different OS's, screen size, ram, prices, graphics, storage space, and the like. Thanks.
Netbook, laptop, tablet?
For Christmas this year I want to buy my two older kids 8 and 7 their own computers. I don't know which of these would be best for them. They will only be used for some games, a few websites, and my 8 year old needs Windows Movie Maker and the ability to load pictures he likes to make stop animation movies . I thought a tablet would be best since they can easily take it with them, and load it with games, when they are tired of the games they can delete them and add more. They are both responsible enough, and they will be bottom of the line computers either way they just don't need super fancy machines yet . Does anyone have a good idea about which would be best to start them with?I have seen cheap Android Tablets for like 150 dollars, that Alien laptop looks great, but these are 3rd and 2nd graders Can you run Windows Movie Maker on a netbook?
Which type of device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) should I buy?
First, you should probably know that I own a tower computer that is 3 years old, but accesses the internet pretty well and I have wifi for my husband's laptop. I use my computer for word and excel documents, photo shopping, facebook, amazon ebay, email, researching, and youtube I don't use it for network gaming or any online games . I also have a tracfone pay by the minute phone and have had the same phone for about 4 years flip phone that has a little antenna you can unscrew on the top . I pay about $25 a month at most using my cell phone because I have unlimited calling from the house. I am a stay at home mom with three kids. ages 5, 11, and 17 , but I plan to go back to work part time in September or October 2012. Now, what I am looking for is a device that will allow me to plan out my days such as count calories, check schedules and calendars, make lists and plans, check email & facebook, reminders for errands and dr. appointments, grocery lists and menus, chores, check my bank account balance, have access to a phonebook or internet to find phone numbers. And it would be nice to have a GPS for geocaching I've always wanted to try that . I wouldn't mind paying about $50 a month for a plan, I don't care if I have a year or two contract, I have excellent credit. I could spend around $500 $600 on something, but I would prefer to spend less. I text on my current phone about once or twice a month. mostly because I hate the phone numbers as a keyboard where I have to press the same button three times to get a letter & I can type 55wpm on a regular keyboard . What device do you think I would be happiest with? I know I can't have everything, but easy access to making lists and organizing is most important to me.
What is the best laptop/tablet for sketchbook pro?
I want to be able to go to engineering meetings and live sketch ideas. I use sketchbook pro on my wacom 21 now but was hoping to get a transportable device to sketch as well. Acer is the only tablet ive really looked at so far and i like it because its a laptop as well as a sketch tablet, any other ideas?so basically, i want a laptop tablet that is a standard laptop with tablet sketching ability.
