Any companies that do laptop upgrades?
Are there any stores that I can bring or mail my laptop to to get upgrades, such as a better video card, better processor, more memory, larger hard drive, etc? I generally work and build PCs but I just don't feel comfortable playing around with laptops.Additionally, my laptop power plug the plug that goes into the computer is extremely finicky. Is it possible to change the power plug to something more secure? I sometimes have to have tension on the plug, pulling it towards me while it's in the socket so it makes contact with the electrodes inside the outlet. Would the potential computer upgrade store be able to change that as well?
Should I pay extra for laptop upgrades?

Dell Laptop Upgrade Possible?
I'm running on a Dell Studio xps 1640 Laptop with the P8600 processor Intel Core 2 Duo 2.40GHz with four gigs of RAM. I was wondering if I could upgrade this to a i7, or a quad core? or just anything better than the P8600? I was looking around and seeing several different answers. Also I would like to know if I can upgrade the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 Graphics card. Any help would be grateful, please and thank you

I have a dell M5030 .i have 4 gb of ram and its expandable to 8 gbi have a 320 gb harddrive by Samsung and i want to updrade to a 120 gb solid sate HDDi have a ATi radon 4200 hd graphics card 512 mb i would like to upgrade to a better one any suggestions?now i have a AMD Atholon V160 single core 2.40 ghz i would also like to upgrade any suggestions?Cheers

I am having a Good Time with my Lenovo Ideapad z560 but whenever i see Dell XPS of my Friend on which he plays BF3 on Ultra detail with Anti alaising off , i feel like there are few things that i must upgrade in order to get the full out of Games. So is1 GPU2 Speakersupgrade able ? i know that GPU is Soldered and so are the speakers but is there any company which can upgrade laptops ? Thanks in advance P.s I am not that much of a gamer. Hello i'm upgrading my going on three year old HP G71 329WM 17.3 inch laptop.Here is my question..... I'm upgrading from my single core Celeron 900 2.2ghz CPU to thisamazon.com Intel 1066MHz Socket Mobile Processor dp B001AE9SVC ref sr 1 2?s pc& ie UTF8& qid 1331860123& sr 1 2I know how to do this np so i don't need any technical help on that part.What my question is... When i install this new CPU which has a FSB of 1066 compared to the 800Mhz of my Celeron will my laptop motherboard support 1066mhz ram? I've look and been able to find any evidence that it would or would not. I'm just not sure if the 1066Mhz for Ram wasn't just a CPU FSB bottleneck but a motherboard one as well....Thank you for any help you can give me. I appreciate it.

I have an old Dell laptop in my house and I was wondering if I could get it upgraded into a more better, fast laptop at a reasonable price. Can anyone give me any suggestions?I would mainly like to upgrade the following THE PROCESSOR THE RAMTHE HARD DRIVE AND THE FAN SO PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING As I said, are they any cheap shops that will do all this for a reasonable price UNDER 200 .Thanks

Old Laptop Upgrade help?
Right now I'm on this really old laptop, and i've had it since the end of 6th grade... I'm now half way through the 9th grade. Technology advances really quick since then. The video graphics card is like a mobile Intel R 4 Series Express Chipset. Honestly.. It's not good. So is it possible to take it to some kind of computer shop to get it dismantled replace maybe the motherboard, processor, and video graphics card. I got a 2 broken keys, but I can easily replace them with a few bucks. By the way it's a Toshiba Satellite l305 s5955, not a Pro or any of that fancy stuff. So is it possible that I can redo all that stuff? I don't mind spending like 100 200 for it. I was gonna make an entirely new custom Desktop, but no way I could afford everything. So any advice would do

When i went to a car boot sale i found a laptop for around 5 windows xp i think the perosn didnt know how to get passed the administrative password so was selling it cheap. I bough it and it works fine but a little slow so i thought about upgrading it and giving it to my mum. Laptop Upgrade Question?
I bought an Asus G74x laptop the other day from Best Buy, for about $1200. I'm able to run Skyrim and Battlefield 3 on High with Skyrim having about 50 fps, and BF3 having 30. I was thinking about upgrading this laptop's Processor i7 2.9 GHz to an i7 4.0 GHz, and its graphics card Nvidia GeForce 560m w 2 GB of VRAM to the new Nvidia GeForce 580m. How much would this cost?Would I have to replace each of them myself, or would I have the option to have them replaced for me? If so, where could I get them replaced, and how much would it cost for the operation?
