Is there any good free application for a laptop webcam?
I bought a laptop it has 1.3mp cam but there's no software that I an use. I do not want to visit webcam sites all times. And is it common for a laptop to have less battery life than normal because the laptop I got said 2.5 hours of battery life on the spec and when I fully charged it first time it only had 1hour 15 min...

Advent laptop webcam problem?
i have recently factory restored my advent mondena m200 blue and the web cam seems not to be working. it was before i did the factory restore i tried pressing fn and f7 witch turns the camera on but still nothing happens as you press the fn and f7 a blue light should appear witch isn't doing. i looked in device manager and nothing to do with the webcam is there i was wondering if i need jto download a new updated driver if so could you tell me where to download it.please try and help me sort things out, thanks

I bought a new laptop but the device cam settings suck The brightness is ineffective, backlighting is useless, it's always pitch black no matter how high i turn the settings, anyone know what software is good?
Asus builtin laptop webcam problem?
it doesnt recognize that there is one.what I've done so far is listed below nothing has helped. I've uninstalled reinstalled the drivers and that didnt fix anything I've pressed f2 to get to the bootup menu to try and enable my webcam device there but it doesnt show me an option like that to do so im getting the Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. Code 39 from device manger properties the computer does not seem to recognize that there is a builtin webcam there at all when activating windowslive moviemaker no webcam was found, lifeframe3 tells me it is disabled, I've seen no options anywhere to enable ithelp???When answering PLEASE give URL links if referencing to websites, because I have tried to search for, uninstall, re install and repair the software and drivers. . . .and obviously my findings have not solved the issue, valid help would be much appreciated thankyou.
Laptop webcam doesn't work?
My laptop has a built in webcam. I don't use it that much but the last time I tried to use it I got an error message which I don't understand." This application has failed to start because it's side by side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail" Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how I can fix it. I'm not amazing with computers so try to be simple.
My Sony Laptop WebCam Issues?
my webcam up until about 2 weeks ago has worked just fine, Then once i got internet back my webcam will not load on anything. I have a sony laptop if that matters.The WebCam Companion 4 will act like everything is fine but wont let me take a picture video its just a black screen.skype it just keeps loading like it wants to work but doesn'tYahoo it just shows a black screenand any other webcam site just says that the webcam is in use somewhere else when its not.I have tried everything. The green light will still show up next to the camera to show its in use. I have been to the the device manger. It shows that its there, says its working just fine. I have uninstalled it and re installed it several different times. I have done every up to date installation of everything and now im at a lost of what to do.. help?
Can anyone help me with my Toshiba Laptop webcam?
I have a Toshiba Satellite L645D S4030 Laptop. Everytime I try to open the webcam application, it tells me it is being " locked by another application" . I've tried closing anything I have open, but it doesn't work. I have searched this before, but I only found solutions for Windows Vista users and I have Windows 7. Can anyone tell me what to do? ok so i have had my laptop for a while now and i wanted to make a video but i cant find my webcam i have an hp pavilian g6 and when i click start and type in webcam nothing comes up can some one please tell me how to access it ps i had you cam on there but it was the free one so i uninstalled but shouldnt there be a webcam folder already on here and i already installed my webcam on device manager
