Question: Cracked lcd laptop screen repair price?

How much would it cost to have a computer place replace a laptop screen if you bought the screen from somehwere else or would they not do that if you brought the replacement screen in instead of buying it from them. And by computer repair place I mean a smaller semi- local place not somehwere like dell or hp

It differes from shop to shop. contact the shop you want to go to for estimated price. and i dont really understand by "i bought the screen from somewhere else ", but you can also ask the shop if they can do that.

It would be best to just buy a new laptop.. Or use an external monitor Prices on things is rediculous these days

Um, probably close to the amount it'd cost to buy a new laptop. If you really want to get it repaired though, best to ring around and get quotes (whilst also checking whether they'd let you bring a replacement screen in). Your best bet is to either let them supply the screen (to make sure it's the right one etc), or if you can find one, maybe getting adequate instruction to be able to fix it yourself (which is probably very difficult).

I fixed mine for 98 dollars- cost of screen= 98 dollars, labor= free! You can buy a replacement screen online for fairly cheap. Make sure you buy the right screen for you laptop though (model, and make) I suggest screentekinc.com . My advise is to install the screen yourself. Most repairs (in shop) will cost the most on labor- hundreds of dollars. There are plenty of youtube videos telling you how to replace it yourself. Very simple- and you'll save a ton of money!
