I am going to buy a laptop pretty soon, and i have a few questions about it?

Question: I am going to buy a laptop pretty soon, and i have a few questions about it?

K i am either getting a dell laptop or a apple laptop. if it is a dell laptop probably the inspiron. and if it is the apple probably the macbook pro, 15 inch. k i have a few questions about the apple macbook. here is my first question. would you be able to put a bigger harddrive in the laptop by urself without taking it into a apple store or sending it to them to do it, i know you have to do that with the battery so i was just wondering if you have to do that with a harddrive, and also i was wondering the same thing about a graphics card, would i be able to change the graphics card in the laptop for a new one. here is my second question, when i went a looked at the laptops on apple, i have noticed the processor that is in them is the intel core 2 duo in them, but intel has new processors out the new 2010 i3 i5 and i7 processors. so i was wondering if get the laptop would it matter if i have the core 2 duo in it or would it be better if i switch it to the new intels. wat i am asking is that is the new intels out better or the same as the core 2 duo. my next question is why do some of the laptops have 2 graphics cards in them?. my next question is the battery on the macbooks good, do they last pretty good or do they suck? obviously this is my first laptop so i asked a lot of questions, i am researching and trying to find out which laptop i should get. i no if i get the macbook it is going to cost way more than a dell laptop, but i really dont care on the price. i am not rich, i work at mcdonalds ha, but i can just save up for the laptop. so please answer my questions, and may u do the pros and cons of the laptops, so i will know more. THANKS o and if you are confused or just want to tell me something, please email me at jedimaster544@yahoo.com thanks again

Forget the mac. It's nothing but overpriced junk. Hard drives can be replaced easily in laptops by undoing a couple of screws, but not graphics cards. They're usually soldered to the motherboard which means you'd have to replace the motherboard if you intend to change the graphics card. Going for the i7 would be the logical choice here when buying a laptop at this point of time. In a couple of years, the Core 2 Duo would become outdated. So unless you plan to use this laptop only for the next 2 years or so, stick with i7 or i5. 2 graphics card in a laptop is called SLI / CrossFire. One high end card can outperform 2 mediocre cards. Almost all the new games would run reasonably well (medium/ high settings) on a decent mid range card. Depending on your budget, its your call really. As much as I hate macs, I must say their battery does not suck. My suggestion - Instead of spending a great deal on the Mac, go for the Alienware laptops instead. They're the best out there. alienware.com/

Apple has less than 2% of the marketplace so getting it repaired will be tougher. Also the Apples and software are also quite expensive. A gaming desktop is a lot cheaper than a gaming laptop.
