Those little netbooks (really small laptops like the one you own) are quite impressive when it comes to battery life, incredible actually. If you are at your desk and are using your netbook then you should use the power cord that came with it so that your battery charges while you use it. It should take about an hour or two to fully charge the netbook to 100% again and then you are free to use it wherever you would like without having to carry around your charger. I think the battery life for your little netbook is 4 to 6 hours? I am not positive, so if you go to a friends house with it or something then i would recommend bringing your charger with you just so that your battery does not run out of power on you. If your battery icon says like 10% then it will go into a "Sleep " mode so that it can preserve as much energy as possible. If it goes to sleep then you just have to plug it back in and wake it up by pressing some keys, pressing a designated sleep button, or pressing the power button again. Every laptop is different when it come to waking up from sleep mode. Sometimes you can wake it up by simply opening the lid. I hope this was helpful

Are you Blonde? A Normal laptop usually shuts off at about 12%-20% depending on settings, yes you use the cord that came with it yes you can use it while it's plugged in. Yes you should wait till it gets 100%

Apparently people find it okay to be rude to you, I do not. (Especially when you clearly said you have no idea how these things work.) People take this stuff for granted... Anyway, yes, the cord that came with it is the A/ C adapter. Plug the pronged end into the wall (like any other device does), and the plug other end into the power port on the side of the unit. (Look at the pictures on the included Quick Setup sheet to see where the power port is.) If it feels like it's not going to fit, do not force it! Make sure you have the right port and the right end of the cable, once you know for sure, then you can connect it. For the first time, you should let it run down until it gets to about 10%. Windows will warn you that the battery is getting low and will shut itself down soon. Let it shut itself down (this will not harm your system, the screen will go black and you'll see the power light change color. Do not turn it back on.) Once you've reached this point, go ahead and plug it in, and leave it charge without using it. It will take 2-3 hours to fully recharge. In the future, you can use it while charging the battery, but for the first few times, you have to "break it in ". Once a month you'll have to do this process of letting it go until it shuts down and then fully recharging without using it, this process is called calibrating the battery. (You must do it to ensure longer battery life. Not just charges, but the battery could go bad if you don't take good care of it.) One thing you must not do...once it shuts down because the battery is too low, do not try and turn it back on and force out the last 5-10% of the battery's charge. This will ruin the battery in time, and makes it extremely difficult for the battery to start recharging. Which can extend that 2-3 hours into 4-6. So, to recap: 1.) Plug the pronged end into the wall like you would any other device, plug the other end into the power port on the side of the Netbook. 2.) Do not use it while it's recharging for the first time. (in the future, you can use it while recharging, just not the first two times.) 3.) Do not let it get past 5 or 10% (the computer will tell you when it's reached that level) I hope this helps, and welcome to the world of portable computing. I hope you have fun!
