Question: Best brand of laptop for a college student?
(Posted by: Jamila on 2010-02-08 23:15:34)
I take online college courses (University of Phoenix), but beside that I do a lot of photo editing, and more recently video editing. I would prefer something with a good amount of memory for all my pictures and videos and such. I don't do gaming so graphics arent a huge issue. I always want it to have CD/ DVD drive and burning capabilities. Which would fit me best? I'd like an exact brand and model name and all that. Also, I have a price limit of no more than $600 (before tax of course) so no Macs (though I'd love one!) Thanks! Forgot to mention, I currently have an HP but after a year it crashed and I had to get a whole new mother board, I thankfully had a warranty. HP is nice, but I don't want this happening again and I've heard a lot of people saying this happens to them also. |

I agree with emachines. i have an Acer and they are real user friendly. They have adapted to the point where there is very little hassle. Plus PC is used primarily for technical things whereas a Mac is used for entertainment purposes. PCs are designed to change and adapt to whatever new software is needed whereas you have to buy a new mac if you want the updates. |

Well I will recommend you that you should go for a Dell Precision M70 laptop which comes with good graphic card and plus with good specifications. These laptops comes with good refurbished physical condition which is really nice and tidy in condition. Providing you a website which can provide you some good information regarding refurbished condition |

Dell and Lenovo consistently have low quality ratings (sort of like University of Phoenix). |
