Question: How can i make my laptop fan always be running?

After about 20 minutes my laptop fan will stop then it will begin to overheat, once it overheats then it will crash and shut down unexpectedly i want my fan to be always running but i dont want it running at full speed because i know that takes a lot of power so is there some type of setting in windows or maybe a program i could use to set my fan to always on but not full speed and i am running Windows 7 (if that helps) thanks

You need to clean your pc and then use a cooling station . if it is so bad it is crashing your pc is doomed to die if you keep using it . buy a cooling station . they are cheap. first try blowing out your laptop. there are vents where the air flows in and out . on bottom and maybe on back or sides . I use a shop vac with the hose on the part that blows out . a regular vac may also have an outlet . blow air into the inlet and outlet of the pc and get all that dust out of there . they clog up after a while . your fan is supposed to cycle on and off. it is either clogged up or your fan is worn out .
