Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: What will happen to my laptop iff....?

If I don't turn it off or shut down, or sleep, for a while? im just curious what will happen if my laptop stays on for like a couple months or something... thanks!

Assuming it would just be plugged in, you will abuse your battery, waste power, and if is not allowed proper airflow, it will overheat and die A few days should be no problem but if you plan on leaving it on for months... Why?

If the settings are set to normal, the computer would go into hibernate, which saves the computers current use to the hard drive, and than shuts the computer off, which provides a quick turn on,
