Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: What is a good and reliable laptop?

I currently have a sony and it has lasted me 2 1/ 2 years and i love it to bits. i need a fast and high memory laptop i would like some thing other than a gateway or acer. i also need it to be relatively small and light. it would also be good if it was durable, i take my laptop to school so you can just think of the strain it would be in. cost is actually in the question so i would like it to be $700. please help me.
