Question: How do you do heart symbols with a laptop?

Using the numbers pad hold down Alt key and press ♥ and done. List of symbols and keys. alt-codes.net/

On a laptop you have to press and hold the fn key and alt. While holding the two, press L and then when you let go you will have a heart ♥♥♥♥♥

There is another way not mentioned in the previous answers. using the character map function. in windows xp, click "start " then "run "...then type in "charmap " into the area provided. a new window will appear and u can navigate various fonts and see what symbols they have available. one font that has many symbols is "arial unicode ms " if u are using vista or 7, then just click on the globe and type in "charmap " into the search area.
