Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: Where is the best place online to buy a good laptop?

I worry about ebay... a little less worried about amazon. Wouldn't mind doing walmart or whatever but I'm looking for a computer... laptop (but will do desktop if i have to). I want it to be under $400 and to be good. My mother bought a 15 " toshiba for 350 on some sale. I can only find 10 " netbooks for that. Any site suggestions? No, I can't afford apple. I know... I wish I could, lol.

I've gotten 3 used apple's that have never failed me yet, all for under 200. You just have to look, and be careful.

I highly recommend going to a store and getting a hands-on trial of any laptop you might buy. If you buy online, you might not like the look of the screen, feel of the keyboard, or size/ weight/ power. With a desktop, you can always change the keyboard, monitor or mouse. That said, I recommend TigerDirect.com - they consistently have decent machines for less.

Try newegg.com/ bestbuy.com/ dell.com/ shopping.hp.com/ toshiba.com/ The way to get the best deals is by waiting. Best Buy almost always has a full sized laptop on sale for $350. Just look at the weekly advertisement on their website to find it. Walmart also sells some pretty inexpensive laptops, but you'll have to look up reviews of the certain model (Google "[brand+ model #] review ") before you buy it to make sure it's exactly what you want. The best way to buy a computer is be being patient. The deals will come, but you'll have to wait for them. I know it's hard! Good luck finding one! Lucien Briscoe P.S. Why do you wish you could buy a Mac? I'd hate to have a Mac, whether it's expensive or not... you could get 3 decent PCs for the price of one Mac.
