Question: Should i leave my laptop near the window where the sun shines on it?

I know it's not good to leave your laptop in high temperatures...but it's not really that hot b/ c I live in the New England region and it's not like I leave my laptop in that car. But still I'm kind of concerned. I always place my laptop on my desk near the window where the sun comes through. is it ok? get something to cover it up?

You should try your best to avoid placing it in the sunlight. I'm not sure how much harm it could actually do to it, even if it isn't that hot, but I know for sure it's not good for it. So avoid it if you can.

Well for me i prefer not to because it might overheat and damage and you might have important data in it but if you have a really fat and big laptop its ok but if you have a skinny one like a mac book air then cover it up because my mac book broke like that.
