Question: How can i fix my laptop?

My brother has this awesome lap top, and his retarded self had the 'bright idea' to turn his windows into a mac... wtf? yeah.. i know... well anyway he downloaded something and I need the recovery disk to fix it. Well he lost the recovery disk and said I could just have it if I could fix it. I just need the recovery disk, so is there a way I can buy or download one? it now says operating system not found. omg!!! windows xp f8 and f11 dont work. i was on the phone with tech support for almost an hour.

Well you can download your own recovery discs at various websites online. What was your operating system before your brother turned it into a mac? Windows XP Home Editon/ Professional, Windows Vista Home Basic/ Home Premium/ Ultimate...well u get the idea. You can purchase a recovery disc from the manufacturer of you laptop quoting make, model and serial number. Or you may have a recovery partition on your drive? Tapping F11 on bootup will get you there and this will put it back to "out of box " factory settings. It will reformat, so backup personal data if you can? Yes an you right you brother is a bit?? Takes a bit more than deleting a OS to turn a PC ito a Mac?
