Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: Torn between sony vaio, hp, and macbook pro. which laptop is best and worth it's pricetag?

I've done a little browsing around best buys and found these 3 computers as my most likely to buy for university use. I'm in BSc, need it for Word, Powerpoint, and internet mainly, with some other home- use capabilities like Video and photo editing, and I'd like it to last long (at least 3 years+) and be stable/ sturdy. Price doesn't matter, as long as it is worth it, in my opinion. Below I wrote all the specs that I think are important for my uses (Graphics don't really matter, and they all have similar wireless capabilities, and weights). ::Sony Vaio VPCEA22FX (14 ") specs:: Intel Core i3 350M, 2.26 GHz 4GB RAM 500 GB Hard Drive Batt Life: 3.5 Hrs $899.99 :: HP Pavilion Dm4- 1050CA (14 ") :: Intel Core i5 430M, 2.26 GHz Processor 4GB RAM 500 GB Hard Drive Batt Life: 6.5 Hrs $849.99 :: Apple Macbook Pro 13 " :: Intel Core Duo, 2.4 GHz Processor 4GB RAM 250 GB Hard Drive Batt Life: 10 Hrs $1 149.00 Based on this info, can someone PLEASE help me in choosing what is best based on my needs? Best answer goes to whoever has the most convincing argument and which laptop I will decide to get :) I like long descriptive answers too Please and thankyou! ;P

MacBook Pro is the best one. I have word and powerpoint on mine plus aperture for photos and video editing but I have never even used it because the program that comes with it (iPhoto)is a million times better then I ever had on any of my PC's. The Macbook will last you much longer then a pc and will not become outdated 3 months after you buy it. If you have to have windows(like I did when I bought mine their are 2 or maybe 3 ways to go about putting it on but once you get used to the Mac you will probably never use it. I used mine for the first month and haven't opened it since. You can even purchase "lessons " on how to use a Mac and they will teach you ANYTHING you want to know not just the basics. I believe it is $99-120 extra for a year, you can go in as much as you want. MacBook Pro!!!!

MacBook Pro all the way. You can even install Windows 7 via Bootcamp if you want to (and have basically 2 computers in one)

Being in college you should be looking for a sturdy machine, which should have a long battery life, little fuss on management and should be able to deliver the ROI. In all three segments Apple Macbook Pro leads by far. You won't have an ounce of regret after buying a Macbook Pro for sure. I was also making a decision, which Macbook to buy.
