Question: Issue with acer aspire 2920 laptop monitor?

My display is squashed to the left, making most things pretty hard to see. I've already tried reinstalling the video card driver, and it makes no difference. Everything functions and displays as normal when I work through a different monitor by using a VGA cable, however. Could anyone pinpoint what's wrong and/ or tell me how to fix it?
