Question: Suggestions for linux laptop camera software?

I own a Lenovo laptop computer running Windows 7 and I'm considering switching to Linux. Can anyone suggest a Linux program for the built- in camera & microphone?

You can dualboot if you want. i use linuxmint (linuxmint.com) and i can use my built in microphone and cam. it comes working for sites like gmail / tinychat/ youtube to detect your cam/ mic etc.. there are programs you can use like 'cheese!' to take pics and 'kdenlive' are good for editing videos. Hope that helps.

I assume you mean for internet use, Skype and google talk work with the camera and microphone. Yahoo messenger does not.
