Can you suggest lightweight laptop models w/ long battery life?
I need a laptop that suits college life. Just a portable comp preferably 8" x13" with a long battery life and doesnt heat up easily. One that doesn't require high maintenance..I prefer a laptop with at least 200 GB HD, w bluetooth features, wi fi cable and has DVD player. Please suggest models that match the specs I've mentioned. Stylish laptops are great but performance comes first. thank you correction 8" x11" dimensions

I am just starting school and i studying fine arts going in to the field of graphic design ... every one around me keep telling me i really need laptop for the future as my work pile up ... .. so i am thinking of getting a laptop but i dont know wats ... good any advice ? i have looked around and a lot of people said the macbook is the best ... but it's a bit pricey and i cant afford itthe 2 thing i look at the most when getting the laptop is .. maybe this can help u guys think of whats good for me ... 1. is must be lightweight.. i travel a lot and most laptops are just too heavy to carry around every where i go.. i have looks at net books ... i love the size of those but other then size they dont function very will 2. the laptop must have really good clear graphic and function very fast so i can multi task and open a lot of different program to used at ones and it won't lag or freeze. like for example if had the internet on , msn , flash , photo shop , illustrator and some times pc online games .. have all that running at ones the laptop wont lag or freeze ...

I like HP, I have never tried Apple, but will never try Dell. Bad experience. I am a college student and I have 3 bulging discs in my neck and back. I have two years left in college. I'd like something budget friendly and light to carry. I would like good functionality with software. I already have a dv6 artist edition laptop that I will keep at home. But it's too heavy to carry for me.

Best lightweight laptop?
Hey all. I was wondering if maybe you guys could help me. I need a new computer for next semester when I go to law school it's required . It has to be really portable, sturdy and be able to go almost anywhere. It has to be able to withstand hours of being lugged around to and from classes and being used for all night study sessions.Any suggestions for a nice lightweight laptop would be very helpful.Also, I am not looking to spend more than say $1200 $1300, but that is negotiable.Currently I have an XP Pavillion dv4000 that is a very nice computer.However it overheats easily. Also it is fairly heavy for me to lug around. I am very petite just under 5' and weigh less than 100 lbs so a lightweight comp would be great. If you can give me any ideas for what to look for, or even some brands to check out that would be wonderful.Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it
