Question: Has anyone ever tried to connect a pc or mac laptop to a plasma tv using a component to vga cable? i?

I have refreshed my resolution settings several times, tried everything between 1024x788 to 1920x1080, tried both platforms and made sure I was on mirror mode, I called JVC and they are clueless (model LT- 42X788). Ideas anyone?

Hi drumbeat.jojo: On the laptop, press the fn key and the F key withthe icon of the screens on it (Usually F5) this will allow the image to be toggled between the laptop and the screen.

Why would you go from Mini Dvi (mac) to component to vga? I have hooked up my macbook several times to my big plasma screen, all you need is the Mini Displayport (macbook store.apple.com/ us/ product/ MB572Z/ A ) or Mini Dvi (macbook pro store.apple.com/ us/ product/ M9320G/ A?fnode= MTY1NDA5OQ &mco= MTA4MzYyOTM ) to vga converter, it works great.
