Question: Sony vaio or mac laptop within a budget of maximum 1000 usd?

Hi, I do not have a deep knowledge about laptops and I am planning to get one for the internet and watching a movie, maybe downloading music, films rarely? Please recommend with the model names? Thanks a ton:)

Go with sony, don't waste your money on a Mac, they're too costly. Since your needs aren't anything special, I say save some money and get the Vaio.

Why would you spend 1000 on a comp that all u are doing is using internet and dl'ing for. for that kind of money you could get a nice gaming comp. and the answer is neither btw. if thats all you want to do then just get a netbook for like 200 look into asus laptops they're really good.
