Question: Trouble with my mac (laptop)?

Its really old. it used to be my dads but he got a new one so now i have his old one. its not white its the sliver one but with no black. recently my laptop has been freezing up if i dont keep moving the mouse (move my finger on the...whatever lol) or typing. has this ever happened to you? if not how old do you think yours is? and if it has is it temporary?? how long does it last? PLEASE HELP 10 points!!!!

If you still have your original disks that came with the computer, you can reinstall the operating system. It sounds scary but it's not too bad on a mac, it walks you through every step. The problem with this is that you will lose the files on the computer, but it should help you speed the computer up.

Message me and i can tell you some hard ware resets to try. chances are you need to reset the ram. I used to work for apple and have fixed this problem many times. Do you also know how big the hard drive is?
