Sounds like word is trying to tell you what you are trying to put into Word isn't a picture file. Try this: Right-click on the picture in Safari. A pop-up menu appears. Choose Save Image As and save it as a file, then drag the file into Word or use Insert >Picture >From file in Word. If you are not offered Save Image As in Safari, what you are seeing is something other than a picture. You can make a screen shot by holding Shift-Apple-3 to get the whole screen, or Shift-Apple-4 to drag the area of the picture. Either way you get a picture file on your desktop that you can put into Word.

Drag the picture from Safari to the Word Document. Copy and Pasting doesnt work.

Don't use Ctrl + C or Ctrl + V. On Apple Macs you use the Apple button + C or V. Just different to windows.
