Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: I'm considering several e-book readers but wonder if a mini laptop will suffice?

Can you download ebooks from the internet? Does it come with Word, is it similar to a regular laptop, only smaller and easier to carry around? I wouldn't need it for much storage, just a few books and perhaps a file or two that I could easily transfer to my passport.

E-book readers do not really "come with Word. " Yes, you can download e-books from the internet, a good example is the Amazon Kindle. You do have to buy the e-books though. If you want to transfer things in and out of the device, you should get a mini laptop--netbook. Netbooks do the same as a laptop, but are smaller and much lighter. Plus, on a netbook you can download e-books in PDF format, or get special e-book software, like the PC version of Amazon Kindle.
