Well lenovo is a chinese brand(it's ok) compaq is very good but you gonna have a lot of problem with the battery charger and you hav to change it lot of time. for me i preffer acer cause from my experience taiwan is the silicon valley of the world and im using an acer netbook rite now! and it's great! and cheap! |

Acer is the number one seller. The others are good as well. |

Lenovo, formerlly ibm, is one of those brands that has gotten better with time .. over the years. If you want a mini I suggest checking out the Lenovo IdeaPad S10. Those are a pretty solid lapotops for a mini. However, some do seem a bit ovber priced though compared to a lot of full laptops, so do shop around. |

Those mini portables with small screens and compact keyboards -- are cute. But they're not for everyone. Disk space is limited, keyboards are cramped, and they're no good for watching movies, no cd/ dvd drive. To remedy all that, you need a full-size laptop. configure.us.dell.com/ dellstore/ config.aspx?oc= dndozm1 &c= us &l= en &s= dhs &cs= 19 |

First let's clear up some facts Lenovo is no longer an IBM affiliation hence why lenovo branded products have taken a swift nose dive in price. I have been selling all manner of nettops since the very beggining and it isn't hard to notice that Acer is dominating the market right now and that's likely due to cost to performance ratio. 300 dollars gets you a 6 cell battery and the newest atom shrink for insane battery performance. So it gets my vote hands down. |

Lenovo bought Ibm a little while ago. Compaq and Acer are terrible companies. Lenovo mainly focuses on building computers for corporate work environments. Judging by that: I would say they are okay. I would suggest looking into a Toshiba, Asus, Sony, or Gateway. Asus are the original market frontiers of the minis. (eee pc). Dell and Hp are terrible computers. Acer, Dell, and Hp tend to put quantity over quality and it shows in their products. They are cheap because they use cheap parts and mass produce them. Compaq is the cheap brand made by Hp. It was bought by hp to make crap computers for cheap and not tarnish the Hp name. |
