As of yesterday my laptop wont turn on if not plugged in..?
it says its fully charged, does this mean I need new battery? if so how much do they usually run and how long will ir run from being plugged in if the battery isn't working? Thanks to all who answer

Why my laptop wont turn on?
I call customer service and they told me to unplug the the power cable, take the battery out, and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Afterwords my laptop turn on. My question is what caused it to not turn on,how did this procedure solve the problem, and how to avoid this problem?

HELP!? my laptop wont turn on, what should i do?
i have an acer aspire laptop. my mom has the same laptop and we tried my charger and bettery in her laptop and it worked nut it wont work on mine. the power light nor any of the other lights will turn on either. what should i do ?

How come my laptop wont turn on when trying to install updates?
Okay, I have a laptop that when you try to turn on...it just reboots itself. I mean. it goes through the beginning boot up part, but then a few seconds later it says windows is installing updates 0 of 3. It will sit at this screen for about 5 minutes and not install anything...the whole 5 minutes it's sitting there saying this nothing happens, then the laptop will just reboot. Then when the laptop reboots it does exactly the same thing. It will get past the black boot up screen and then it goes to the " installing updates 0 of 3" , sits there for five minutes and does'nt do anything then it reboots again? Over and over and over. If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate it. I have abunch of pictures on the laptop that I really do not want to lose. If there was a way to get to windows and somehow get rid of the updates so the computer can just turn on maybe this could help? Any help would be appreciated. Obviously the hard drive is fine because it tries to turn on but just can't get past these updates at the beginning. Please help me

Why wont my laptop wont turn on?
Well, my laptop wont turn on, actually it does, i have an IBM thinkpad computer. When i turn it on, it shows an IBM screen then it just stays on that and does nothing else. Then i hear the computer running, then after a few minutes it just stops and freezes on the screen. any help?

My Laptop wont turn on properly?
When I turn on my laptop a white screen appears with lines going through it. I have to remove the battery to turn it off and start it again. Sometimes it could take 3 or 4 goes before it turns on properly. Anyone know what is going on with it?

My laptop wont turn on properly.what do i do?

My laptop wont turn on any advice?
I have tried the static test where you hold down the power button and everything but it still does not turn on. The charging light turns on when it is plugged in but that is it. Do you guys have any advice for me? And if you dont do you know if geeksquad bestbuy will diagnose the problem for free?I have a gateway nv52 and when it is charged the battery indicator turns blue rather than red when it is charging.And i tried removing the battery and plugging in the power cord and turning it on and it still does not power on.

My Laptop Wont Turn On?
Hi Everyone, I have the LENOVO IDEA PAD Z560 and it has not been turning on for a couple of weeks. i replaced the AC Adapter and Battery but it still wont work. Before it stopped working it would over heat.Any ideas of what might be the problem? Thanks

My laptop wont turn on at all, there's only a faint sound that comes when plugged in.?
none of the lights turn on and niether will the screen. when i plug in the charger the tinly light by where the input is turns on and the wifi button turns orange. my warrenty is up ans i dont have any ?$ to have it proffesionally fixed right now and parents said to give up but i cant since all my school work is on it. is there anyway for me to fix it?btw im only 13

It's a Window's 7 laptop. i tried pulling out the battery and charging it and holding the button, but none of them are working. I cant get a new one or a new piece mostly because i dont have the money. Please please help ...I didnt drop it or anything It just shut down.

My laptop wont turn on! Any help?
I have an Archos 13 laptop which is only about a month old but out of the warrenty , it crashed the screen turned off and so did the laptop last night, but I put this down to overheating. This morning I've tried to turn it on without the power cable, with out the battery but with power cable . The computer is also not registering the power cable as being plugged in, as there is no light flashing to say it is charging. I've also searched the topic online, and I have tried several times to press the power button for about 30 seconds while power cable and battery were out, but nothing has worked Any advice? Thanks

My Laptop wont turn on even when it is plugged in?
Ok so I just got a new charger for my laptop today and I have plugged it in, the light came on to say it was charging but it wont turn on. It is a Toshiba Equium Laptop how can I get it to turn without sending it away because the company have only just sent my new charger through after 2 weeks when they said it would be 2 3 days.

One day I was using my compaq presario cq61 319wm when it just SHUTS OFF on me, I tried to turn it back on so i pressed the power button constantly, It turned on and the power button and wireless button begin to flicker constantly then it finally shuts off for good, Ive tried removing the batter and turning it on with the power supply only. Still doesnt turn on, But it shows that it IS charging, because the charger light is on. And my battery was completely full when it shut off, And every time i put the battery back in the charger light is the only thing that comes on, my laptop still wont turn on Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
