Should I get a netbook or laptop for college?
I am going to a university in September and will be living in the dorms. I am wondering if a netbook such as the Asus Eee 1000HE is sufficient for my work or if I need a full laptop with a bigger screen processor. My major is Environmental Studies, if that helps. Thank you
Do I need to get a netbook or laptop for college?
So I'm goin to college in about 4 weeks and I was wondering, since the netbooks are cheaper, if I should just go ahead and get that. I heard that laptops are more of to do everything. But I would just need to do essays and look stuff up on the internet really. I already have a home computer, i just want a netbook laptop so it can be like my college computer. What do you think?

I'm planning on attending a major university with a major in Pre Medicine. I've heard netbooks are great for college, but I've also heard that they don't have a lot of internal memory. I just want to make sure that I can save word documents, save a lot mp3 and picture files, and surf the web easily.

Its a dumb question I know cause nothing is ever free. Just trying. I don't care to have anything expensive or fancy like an apple, but I do need something up to date. Not one of those android books either. Bought one of those and it was a big mistake. I took it back.

I want a computer for college and was looking at laptops however I noticed netbooks look like they are smaller, cheaper and pretty capable so I am kind of curious about them. I do plan on getting a desktop computer eventually though money is tight. The only thing is I don't know if they will be able to handle everything I want. I will be using the computer for music downloads, heavy word processing, college websites, online courses, facebook, community sites, and webcam among other things. Though a laptop might be better suited I really want something that is light and portable. I do not plan on playing any games on it or movies. The only thing I am really worried about is if they are capable of holding all my music and running multiple windows at a time. Thank you

hiim gonna go to college soonshould i buy a netbook and a desktopor just a $1500 high performing 14" laptop?which one would be more convenient for a college studenti download stuff almost everyday and play games that needs good graphics cardsthe desktop that im gonna potentially paired with the netbook and the laptop will have similar specs, but the desktop being cheaper because its a desktopfyi, im considering the netbook because it might be easier to take to lectures and etc. and im assuming the price of netbook desktop high performing laptopso which choice will be better for me?
